The Daniel Defense MFR(Modular Float Rail) is a CNC Machined Modular Free Float Handguard. It is specifically designed to adequately cover a low profile gas block on a carbine or mid-length gas system barrel. The MFR has been engineered to provide each shooter with the ultimate in modular adaptability. Should the shooter desire, the tube can be run “slick” with an unitterupted top rail that runs the length of the tube. In addition, the installation of Modular Picatinny Rails is accomplished with little effort. This allows you to have rails anywhere you need them and nowhere you don’t. The slim profile feature of the MFR 12.0 keeps the shooter’s support hand close to the bore which aids in firearm manipulation, and the design and construction allow for the attachment of Picatinny Rail Sections at standard 90 degree or offset angles.

If you are into small arms history, you must have heard of SPR (Special Purpose Rifle.)
The SPR, used by Special Operations Forces of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, is a heavily modified light sniper/designated marksman variation of the AR-15/M16 line of infantry weapons, and is chambered for NATO standard 5.56x45mm ammunition.
The first SPR adopted famous PRI Gen I and Gen II carbon-fiber free-float handguard.
One very important feature of PRI handguard is its carbon fiber main body. The carbon fiber can stop heat transfer from barrel to the handguard.

Daniel Defense L85 Adapters Now Available & Important Product Note

ICS & WE converters for Madbull's licensed Daniel Defense L85 rail are now available (or available soon) at your local Airsoft retailer.

Important Note:
There are two versions of the licensed Daniel Defense L85 rail, which are externally identical but with slightly different internal dimensions.

Version 1 is compatible with G&G and Army using the included adapter, and with ICS using a separately available adapter.
Version 2 is compatible with G&G and Army using the included adapter, and with ICS and WE using separately available adapters.

You can determine which version you own by looking at the packaging of your L85 rail.

Madbull's licensed Daniel Defense L85 is the only L85 rail officially licensed by Daniel Defense for Airsoft.
