Drake Associates is a current suppler to the U.S. Government with the DRAKE / PGM Ultima Ratio modular sniper weapon systems in .308 caliber, which was chosen over the US Military's M24 Sniper Weapon. This contract was awarded in the third quarter of 2010.
The PGM Ultima Ratio sniper weapon system is a high precision weapon that is capable of sub minute of angle (SUB-MOA) performance to distance. The Ultima Ratio was developed in response to the demanding performance requirements of multiple NATO SPEC.OPS. teams. To date, the PGM Ultima Ratio SWS is currently fielded in various theaters of operation. The precision and repeatability of this system ensure that the target is hit on the first attempt.
The DRAKE / PGM Ultima Ratio's will be fitted with a long picitinny rail system that will allow for various night vision and laser sighting systems that can be mounted in front of the day optic to make the weapon system multi role / multi mission capable. The world class Schmidt Bender PMII 3-12x50 day optic scope was also chosen to be supplied with this weapon system.
